USS MCFAUL Hits the Beach and Lends a Hand in Limassol

June 27, 2008

Braving 110 degree weather, the sailors managed to collect more than twenty bags of trashOn Friday June 27, over 25 sailors from USS MCFAUL hit the beach during a recent 4-day port visit in Cyprus. But this trip to the beach was not for fun and relaxation. Rather, the sailors were donating their vacation time to clean Castella Beach. Braving 110 degree weather, the sailors managed to collect more than twenty bags of trash. When they were finished, the sailors enjoyed snacks and beverages kindly donated by the Municipality of Limassol. Then, before heading back to their ship, the group toured the Curion amphitheater and baths.
