U.S. and Cypriot Experts Discuss Water Management and Climate Change

The discussions focussed on the effects of climate change and ways societies needed to adaptOn May 22, Cypriot experts in the area of water management participated in a Digital Video Conference with Paul Bunje of the Environmental Protection Agency, Alexander Dehgan of the Office of Science Advisor to the Secretary of State, Dennis Ojima of the Heinze Center for Science, Economics, and the Environement, and Ross Corotis, a Jefferson Fellow at the Department of State. Participants from Ukraine and St. Petersburg also asked questions of the experts. The discussions focused on the effects of climate change and the ways societies need to adapt, ranging from less water intensive agriculture to state policies adapted to local needs.
