Global Learning Semester Students Learn How Embassies Work

March 21, 2007

On March 21, sixteen American exchange students from Intercollege, under the auspices of the Global Learning Semesters Program, received an Embassy briefing on the Cyprus issue, the goals of the Embassy, a rare glimpse into the life of a U.S. foreign service officer, the workings of US Embassy Nicosia. The students come from a variety of undergraduate colleges and universities throughout the United States. Ambassador Schlicher and officers from the economic, political, public diplomacy, management and consular departments briefed the students, who then received a tour of the consular section and of the Embassy grounds.
