DRIVERS LICENSE

 

Bearers of Cypriot drivers licenses may drive in the U.S. for a short period of time on their valid Cypriot driver's licenses and an international driver's license. (Exact length depends on the individual state.) When renting a car, some rental agencies may insist on seeing an international driver's license.  It is advisable to carry both your valid Cypriot driver's license and an international driver's license.

 

Americans can drive in Cyprus:

 

1) For 6 months with a regular American drivers license;
2) An International Drivers License as long as it is valid;

 

Local insurance is compulsory
