The USAID-funded Supporting Activities that Value the Environment program (SAVE) has launched its small grants initiative. SAVE has invited applications from local and regional organizations for activities that will improve the management and use of Cyprus’ rich natural and cultural resources.
Grants of up to $50,000 are intended to advance the overall SAVE objectives which are to improve local capacity to manage critical environmental resources and the island’s wealth of natural and cultural assets.
SAVE is implemented by the International Resources Group and like all U.S. assistance programs for Cyprus is aimed at the reunification of the island, including through economic development.
More information can be obtained directly from SAVE at save-info@irgltd.com. Applications are accepted on a semi annual basis and the next deadline is December 12, 2008. |
