Accelerated Visa Delivery for Eligible Turkish Cypriot Travellers

Obtaining a U.S. visa has just become more convenient for most eligible Turkish Cypriot travelers, according to the U.S. Embassy.  The Embassy will now be able to process many non-immigrant visa applications for Turkish Cypriots in one or two days, instead of the one to two weeks that has been the case in recent months. "We are very pleased that our efforts to make visiting the United States more convenient for Turkish Cypriot tourists and business travelers have paid off," said U.S. Ambassador Klosson. 

As has been the case for several months, Turkish Cypriot tourists, business travelers and students are eligible for two-year, multiple entry visas. There is no change in the visa application procedures, according to the embassy, but the results will be seen immediately by these classes of travelers. Certain visa applications may be required to undergo additional reviews in Washington. This process requires additional time, but the majority of these reviews are completed within a few weeks.
