Chris Byars and Ari Roland will be in Cyprus for five days starting this Saturday to continue their work with the Jazz Futures program. Joining Chris and Ari will be Zaid Nasser, Vahagn Hayrapetian, Yaala Ballin, and Stefan Schatz.

The schedule of events for the five days will be as follows:

• Saturday July 9th - Jazz workshop at the Fulbright Center from 2:30 - 6:30 pm.

• Sunday July 10th - Jazz workshop at the Fulbright Center from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm (Please note change from the usual time). Evening concert in Famagusta - Venetian Palace at 8:30 pm.

• Monday July 11th - Jazz workshop at the Fulbright Center from 2:30 - 6:30 pm. Evening jam session at Passport at 9:30 pm. (Evening session cancelled)

• Tuesday July 12th - Jazz workshop at the Fulbright Center from 2:30 - 6:30 pm. Evening jam session at Jazzy B at 9:30 pm.  (Evening session cancelled)

• Wednesday July 13th - Studying Music in the United States. Ari and Chris, along with an educational counselor from the Fulbright Commission, will present an information session at the Fulbright Center from 12:00 – 2:00 pm for those students interested in studying music in the United States. The press release for this event is attached to this email. Please feel free to forward it to any students or school counselors who might be interested in attending. Following the information session the jazz workshop will be held from 2:30 - 6:30 pm. Evening jam session at Academy at 9:30 pm. (Evening session cancelled)

The on-island activities that are regularly held each month by local musicians will continue as follows:

• Wednesday July 20th - weekly jam session at Academy at 9:30 pm.

• Saturday July 23rd - Saturday workshop from 2:30 - 6:30 pm at the Fulbright Center.

• Monday July 25th - weekly jam session at Jazzy B at 9:30 pm
